This article examines the problem of studying anxiety and empathy within framework splitting poles cognitive style analyticity/synthetics in subjects aged 17-18. The study was carried out using following methods – “Free sortingˮ by Riley W. Gardner modified Voldemar Kolga, “Diagnostics level empathyˮ Il’dar Yusupov, “State-Trait Anxiety Inventoryˮ Charles Donald Spielberger Juri Hanin. involved 80 students. Using methodology R.W. Gardner, V.A. groups were identified sample subjects: synthetics/categorisers, synthetics/globalists, analysts/differentiators analysts/detailisers. Diagnostics according to Inventory” Ch.D. J. Hanin made it possible identify high, medium, low levels anxiety. Analysis research results I.M.
